the Devil of Alabaster Carnival

This is the tale of the Side Show Monster, the one who skulks between dusty tents and rips the throats from stray dogs.

For 80 years this creature has haunted the ruins of the infamous Alabaster Carnival, once a thriving hub of freakish attractions, now ravaged by changing times. Where there were once flickering lanterns and polished cage bars, now only rust and shattered glass remain.

The Side Show Monster was the main attraction, with hypnotic green eyes and venomous fangs, this foul creature could make even the most hard-hearted man blanch on sight. It lived for the attention, the awe and glory of being the most fearsome monster anyone had ever seen. It was truly a spectacle-- a vision-- of Hell. There are tales of the beast luring children too close with it's strange clicking, knocking calls until a horrified mother becomes aware and shrieks in fear for her young. No child was ever lured quite close enough... but no one doubted the end consequence would be bloody and cruel.

However, economys change and trends come and go... and so the Alabaster Carnival came to a close. Lizardmen and Bearded Women quietly packed their bags and all moved on... All except the Side Show Monster. It seemed that it's fierce devotion to the carnival scene made it impossible to break away.
It continues to protect it's dilapidated land and chase off intruders who might want to tear down the empty tents and fogged popcorn machines... but those who aren't so lucky will surely provide an easy meal for the devil of Alabaster Carnival.
