Belle De’Anastaise was born during the time when Queen Victorian reigned. Born into nobility Belle lived in a beautiful country manor outside the outskirts of London. She was seen as a petite young girl full of beauty and innocence. Sunshine locks that curled at the ends, pale milky skin, blood red luscious lips and the eyes that could rival the skies themselves. Not only was her outer appearance to be admired, but also her inner one. Taught manners since birth, Belle was viewed as a polite, elegant and kind spirited young girl. By the age of eight, Belle was given private tutoring lessons to help expand her knowledge and to learn about culture. Language was one of her key subjects; she learnt English, French and Spanish. However she also learnt about musical instruments, piano being her most skilled point, arts and crafts was another subject which Belle had quite a lot of potential in.

At the age of ten, Belle soon found herself involved within an arranged engagement. Her finance was none other than noble earl, Ciel Michealis. He adored her, and despite talk of his mental state, Belle found herself infatuated with the young earl. However by the age of eleven a terrible incident occurred at the manor, the young countess and her parents were found brutally murdered. Her parents both were found in their quarters, lying in bed with their throats slit. Young Belle was found in her chambers, sitting on her beautiful French imported rocking chair. She had a single stab wound in the place of her heart. What makes it even more brutal, was at the scene of the crime in front of the young girl was a canvas. The canvas held a single portrait, painted with blood, of the deceased Belle De’Anastaise.

Rumours spread throughout the manor. The most disturbing was the one which involved the noble earl. Many claimed that due to his mental state, master Ciel, had taken Belles life. Whether or not this is true, no-body was taken to court due to lack of evidence. The painting was kept though by master Ciel, to serve as a memory of his beloved Belle. Many say the painting holds the poor girls soul that she is unable to move on until her murder is solved and the killer is punished. Those around the painting report hearing laughter and even swear they have seen its eyes or lips move. Whatever the case, Belle De’Anastaise, was and still is seen as the family’s petite young angel.
