I was born a king!
An Archan king of the lions and so I was named. It was a lonely existance, that of king. There were those who were jealous of me; or so I was told. I was very young & did not listen nor understand the politics surrounding me. I believed I could trust everyone I saw. Afterall, I was king!

So, you see, one day the gate was left open (on purpose?). I wandered away from those that watched over me and became lost. It was the dead of winter and it was so cold. I was afraid. No one came looking for me. I know there were others out there because I could hear their moaning in the distance... or was it the wind?

At some point I slept; a deep and fretful sleep and awoke in an adoption compound of some kind. I felt changed, different somehow; foreign to myself. I tried to tell them that I was a king, an Archan lion king, but no one would believe me. It seemed that the cold was my only companion most of that lonely winter. I could barely stay awake.

And then, something wonderous happened. I was adopted! Tinkerbabe hugged me & told me that no one would ever hurt me again. We visited a carnival in an attempt to zap the cold away but it seems I have become part of it or it of me. The glacial cold is now inside me.

But, Tinkerbabe told me she loves me no matter who I am. She gave me a scythe for harvesting. I am happy.

But, sometimes, when it is quiet and I look deeply into the reflection in the scythe, I still can see the lion king that lurks inside.
