So now you've come to hear my story, I take it?
My Name is Mama Baer, and I came here mostly for my son Zuckerherz.
I've since become something of a mother - or grandmother - for all who live here, and I guess that marks my place in this house. I mop the floor, dust the shelves and make sure this ragtag bunch get's their three warm meals a day.
Hard work for sure, but it is worth it. And really something I do on my own accord even when no one asks for it. Most of the pets here could drown in their own mess and starve and they wouldn't notice! My son would probably be the first, too, if he doesn't break his neck first. My daughter Kanima won't fare much better, though I'm not even allowed to clean her mess.
And that is mainly what I came for: A save place where my clumsy, accident prone mess of a child could live and not be bullied and beat up like in every other neighbourhood we lived at before now. And in school, but that can't be helped.
Poor boy get's hurt often enough on his own accord; he doesn't need to be tread on by his peers on top of it.
So I've been looking for a place where a Bloodred Archan could live in peace, and I found this one. Pfoetchen is a real darling, sweet as can be, like a little angel out of a comic book. A rather hurriedly drawn comic book, mind you, but she's perfect.
Been gathering hurt and abandoned folk left and right and made them all love and respect each other. And didn't shy back when she saw my boy, either; she just did the sensible thing and went for the first aid kit.
I offered her to keep the house clean and its residents fed for her, but Pfoetchen said I wouldn't need to. She was wrong, so I do anyways. I don't have to, but I need to, because someone's gotta look after these idiots. It's a weird bunch, but I love them, because for the first time ever, my son has friends, support, and somewhere to be where no one but his own clumsiness can hurt him.
And now I even have a husband/robot helper to do most of the cleaning for me. What more can a woman ask for?
