~Ponyo, Ponyo Little Fishie in the Sea~

Ponyo is the eldest of many daughters between Fujimoto and Granmammare. During an outing with her father, she is compelled to explore the rest of the world and ends up sneaking off while Fujimoto is occupied. She ends up washed up on the shore of a small fishing town and rescued by a boy, Sosuke, who wishes to keep her as a pet. The two begin to bond and become very close, to the point where Ponyo states that she 'loves Sosuke!' However, their time together is cut very short when Fujimoto goes looking for his missing daughter and eventually gets her back.

When brought back home, Ponyo becomes defiant and wishes to become human, much to Fujimoto's dismay. Thanks to swallowing human blood before, this actually allows Ponyo to do so and escape her father once again to rejoin Sosuke. By doing so, however, causes a huge magical imbalance and starts a huge storm. Ponyo and Sosuke, along with Sosuke's mother Lisa, wait the storm out together.

During the night, Fujimoto discovers Ponyo missing and finds her once more with Sosuke as a human. Noticing the moon out of orbit due to the magical imbalance, he grows concerned and has a talk with Granmammare. Granmammare tells Fujimoto that if Ponyo loves Sosuke, and if Sosuke loves her back, she can stay as a human and balance will return to normal. This has to be done via a test given to Sosuke, though, and if he fails Ponyo will turn into sea foam.

The next morning, both children find most of the town flooded by the ocean. Not only that, but Lisa had gone off to check on the nursing home which she works at and has not come back. With Ponyo's magic and Sosuke's toy boat, the two go searching for her in the newly submerged town.

Eventually the children find Lisa in the protected nursing home underwater. There, Granmammare waits for them and asks Sosuke if he would love Ponyo whether she were a fish or a human. Sosuke replies that he 'loves all the Ponyos' and with that pasts his test. Granmammare allows Ponyo to stay human, where she lives happily with Sosuke.

Ponyo also really likes ham.
