Amelia Flynn has been fixated by aviation from a very young age. As a child she'd watch her father work on aeroplanes and dream of the day she'd be able to fly one of her own. As soon as she was old enough she built her very own biplane with her father's assistance and began her life in the skies.

Dropping her first name after deeming it too girly, Flynn found herself fighting for recognition among the men she'd envied growing up. Her perseverance paid off and soon she was just another one of the guys, chasing the clouds by day and throwing back whisky in the bar at night.

The bar is where she meets Reid, the indomitable detective and perfect sparring partner. He's almost as refreshing as swooping through the air in the plane she built with her own hands.
