The street life was that all that she knew. This wasn't to say that this was a bad thing, for Anjou was confident in her ability to take care of herself. For Anjou, a home was anywhere she could rest her head for the night and awake the next day. She saw luxuries as only things to weigh her down, and felt pity for anyone who clinged so desperately to such things.

Anjou had far from a nurturing childhood. Drugs and alcohol came first in her household, and she had no choice but to be the parent for her twin brother. Neither of them knew what it was like to have a family until the two of them were absorbed into a street gang like water to a sponge. They were looked after, but this care came at a price. Anjou was expected to pull her weight with cons and robbery. As she grew older, the more was expected as she soon enough found herself dragged into gang fights.

I'll take you down & you'll be smithereens

It wasn't long until the law caught up with her, throwing Anjou into jail and her brother into juvenile detention. Years later that she would get a taste of freedom again, and after the fact she "learned" her lesson. She learned to not get caught, at the very least. Anjou works a boring, part time fast food job during the day. She puts on the persona of a young adult looking for a fresh start, but old habits die hard. The streets beckoned her to join it again once more, cloaking her in the darkness of night as she proceeds about her delinquent ways.

An outsider only views Anjou as a trouble maker out to make everyone's lives miserable. Only those she allows to get close to her know that Anjou has the best of intentions, regardless of her methods are impractical. She is determined to keep her head high and wings spread, using them to keep herself from soaring into despair once more.
