"Belay?"

The noktoa perches on the branch of a frosted pine next to Ytiva's ski lodge. If it were not for the tree and glowing crescent on its head, its pastel feathers would hide it quite well against the snow.

"Er," you say. "No thanks?"

The noktoa rustles its feathers and gives you a thoughtful look before saying, "Off belay." It sounds quite pleased with itself.

"... Yup," you confirm, and the noktoa bobs its head and flaps its wings excitedly. You gather it is telling you that you did a good job. You give it a thumbs up and it hoots back happily as you continue on your way.
