Crossfade. The warrior in the night. She was coming for the treasure. Her people said it would be here, locked away inside this cave. She could understand the shadows dancing on the wall but she remained apprehensive. The light beckoned her. But she must resist. An old friend of hers told her the light would take her into places where she would hurt all the time, so she remained in the tombs where they had left her. The tomb was lonely and she was afraid to leave. But some visitors would come soon....they would change everything.
Before she got there, she had been a vast warrior. She had been trained from as soon as she could walk, in every weapon imaginable. Guns, swords, gadgets, devices, even primitive rocks etched with the mark of her people. But now, she only had the sharp sword, and no knowledge of why the light was considered a terrible thing.
