Oh hello.... I don't suppose you've seen a little Urenia crawling around anywhere, have you? I'd left Crawler on my bed earlier, but I can't find him anywhere.... I hope he hasn't got anywhere near Aunt Petunia, otherwise he'll be banished to the garden.Crawler isn't most people's idea of a pet - he's only a little spider after all, but when you've spent 10 years sleeping in the cupboard under the stairs, you make friends with the spiders that also call that cupboard home.
Don't look so surprised - you must have heard about the "boy who lived in the cupboard under the stairs" by now? All the neighbours are talking about me, but I'm not sure that's a positive thing. Three weeks ago hardly anybody had heard of me at all, yet since these strange letters started arriving for me, everything changed. I was given Dudley's spare bedroom and Dudley was even forced to collect the post one morning for the first time.
What's in the letters? Unfortunately I haven't a clue. Uncle keeps taking them before I can manage to open the envelope, but whoever is writing to me seems pretty desperate for me to reply; we had about 50 arrive this morning, but in the strangest way, as the postman didn't deliver them.... they all were carried by owls which flew down the chimney. I did wonder if I was just imagining things as I'd never seen an owl flying in daylight until then, but from the look on Uncle's face and the poop down the walls once they'd flown away, I think they were pretty real.
Oh where is that little Urenia? We're meant to be heading somewhere in a few minutes.... well, once Dudley puts his television back in his room. I haven't a clue where we're off to, but I hope whoever is sending those letters manages to follow us; otherwise we could come back to a mountain of them when we return. Actually, that might not be so terrible. The more letters there are, the greater my chance of being able to open one.
Ah, there you are Crawler - what were you doing lurking in my pillowcase? Come on, you'd better sit in my pocket while we're heading wherever we're going. And don't let Aunt Petunia see you!Credits
