Douglas is a shy, under confident teenager. At first glance, at least. He is relatively quiet, though thoroughly enjoys being in the company of others, starkly contrasting with his "brother" Shiver, who he is often compared with. He hates being alone, and does not mind silence, so long as he has company. His close friends know him to be very reliable, but also very chatty when he wants to be, and gets excited easily.
Being fairly low-key and self-conscious most of the time, Douglas is very serious when it comes to his art. Doodling ever since he could remember, sometimes he will slink away for the whole weekend just to draw. While worrying his "family", it is all in good fun to him, of course.
History
Douglas was born of a mom who he never met and a dad who is currently off in the Marines. He was put in the care of Kourogi, whom his dad is close to. Thus, he is raised by the whole family and, though he seldom sees his dad (he'll come home some day) loves him very much. One of those days
"Douglas! Dinner! NOW!!!" Mori yelled, his voice hoarse.I blinked wearily. I had not heard him the first time."Hu?" I groaned, stepping lightly out of my room and into the kitchen "Guess I got caught up again.... Sorry Mori..."
"I called you 3 times," he said, frowning, but let it go per request of Kourogi, who tapped him lightly on the shoulder.
It was just a typical Sunday night at our house. School was around the corner once more, shooting glares at me as if to say, "Your weekend's OVER, pal". Of course it was. The Saturdays and Sundays I spent drawing were just never long enough... I couldn't wait until winter break...
"So," Leelya, who had just entered the room, asked, "What'cha been drawin' this time?"
I sighed, "Not much, kiddo. I wanted to draw something with school spirit, you know? Senior year and all... Thought it'd be a fine idea, but it's gonna take me longer than I thought."
She nodded, sympathetic.
At least, I hoped.
I needed all the sympathy I could get.
