Dayton "Dato" Ginsberg is the kind of guy who always has a smile on his face and a coffee-pot in his hand. He's a barista at Get Mugged, and is more than happy to slip his friends a free drink every now and then. However, he makes them promise that they won't tease him about his favorite color being pink, or he'll never let them in the coffee shop again. (Neither party upholds that promise.)

There's a running joke that Dayton spends so much time behind the counter that he actually owes Get Mugged rent. He laughs a little each time someone says it, but the fact of the matter is that he needs all the hours he can get. Being away from Mom and Dad to live in the big city for college has a way of making bills appear, and he'd rather pull a tooth out than go burden someone by asking for help.

Despite it all, Dayton still remains a five-year-old at heart. He likes reading comics, running, sugary drinks, and listening to the kind of electronic dance music that makes Haldor want to die (again).
