Albel Nox, also known as Albel the Wicked, is an Elicoorian swordsman from the kingdom of Airyglyph and one of the main characters of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. Known as Albel the Wicked, he fights against the party for most parts of the first half of the game as leader of the Black Brigade. Albel is easily identified by the gauntlet on his left arm, which he wears in order to conceal burns he obtained from when he was a child. He prefers to take no prisoners and leave no survivors in battle, a lack of mercy that perhaps explains his nickname of "the Wicked."He is an excellent combatant specializing in the katana, a special kind of sword, and in one-on-one combat, he is said to possess skills comparable to Duke Vox, the captain of the Dragon Brigade. Albel is socially inept, and keeps others at an arm's distance; he speaks little, and when something does come out of his mouth it's usually an insult.
