A young girl's heart flutters...

Licking some syrup off her bottom lip, Bolade grabbed blindly for another Asmodean Pumpkin, her favorite snack.

On her bedroom floor beside her was her Pum-kin, chewing away mildly at a leaf. Bolade leaned forward and placed a sticky kiss between Mlada's eyes, which the Pum-kin ignored while it blandly continued to munch.

Well, not everyone could be as excited as she was.

Today, the new issue of the Centropolis News had come out, and here, in the People section, was an interview with the Dr. Ian Asmodeus. If such a young body could experience heart failure, she would certainly need an ambulance now.

The 20-year-old doctor had been Bolade's crush since the Asmodeus Genetech Lab opened up in Darkside. She had gone for a visit with some friends, and was stunned by the quiet, level-headed, brilliant man.

Slipping on her Ians Laboratory Gloves, she dove into the article, squishing out feelings of jealousy when Dr. Ian Asmodeus mentioned his friendship with the ambiguous Quentin. That weirdo could never be as stunning as she.

Tossing her shaggy blonde hair, Bolade eagerly drunk in the photograph of the brilliant man with his Rreign, Curie. He looked smashing, as always. Clutching the newspaper to her chest, she let out a squeal of delight.

She rolled over and took inventory of her room. In four jars on a high shelf above her bed were the four flavors of Asmodean Pumpkins given out last Morostide - cherry, grape, raspberry, and orange. The jars still bounced and shook sometimes, but otherwise, the sentient candy had pretty much calmed down over the months.

Hanging in her closets, Bolade had multiple Asmodeus Genetech Lab Shirts in both black and white, just in case one got dirty or ripped or something, she would still have a back-up to wear.

Locked in a glass cabinet on top of her book shelf were her two most dangerous relics to the doctor. One was a bottle of Rot Powder, which she had acquired after hearing through the grapevine that Dr. Ian Asmodeus created it to get back at the dastardly Dr. Euclid of Atebus. Bolade was sure that whatever had taken place, Dr. Euclid most certainly deserved to be subjected to the corrosive powder.

A few feet away in the same case was her very own Nuclear Potion. She remembered that the seller had asked if she trusted Dr. Ian Asmodeus enough to use it, but she had silenced the rude question with a cold glare. Of course she trusted the dashing man!

In the actual bookcase was one book, a well-worn copy of Modern Science Volume I, which contained the doctor's musings on the effects of potions and elixirs. The rest of the bookshelf was reserved for future volumes.

Propped up on her bed were her three favorite plushies. A smile coming to her face, she stood and rubbed a thumb over the soft fabric of the Collectible Ian Plushie. She had also acquired a Nuclear Ian Asmodeus Plushie, and her personal favorite of the three, a suave Holiday Ian Asmodeus Plushie.

While she contemplated playing a game with the three of them, Mlada's cry caught her attention. On the floor, her four other minions were terrorizing the Pum-kin. The Series No. 10499 was a radioactive fledgling from Dr. Ian Asmodeus, while the Asmodempkin, Bleak Pumpkian, and Lantern Pumpkian had been made from leftover pumpkin parts when the doctor had been feeling the holiday spirit.

"Get! Get away from her!" Bolade swung a foot at the minions, and they scattered.

Cradling Mlada in her arms, Bolade sighed. While she loved Dr. Ian Asmodeus, she really should have thought more carefully about acquiring so many of the doctor's beloved minions for herself!
