Police department chases fleeing criminals suspected to be working with Blackmoon

CENTROPOLIS -- At 9:15 this morning, two suspects were apprehended after a two-hour police chase.

Sheriff James Thompson of the Centropolis Police Department stated that at least two more individuals fled the scene and citizens should be wary of approaching strangers.

"We have reason to believe that they will be seeking transportation out of the city,"Thompson said. "They may attempt to hitch a ride with travelers, and all citizens should be wary if suspect individuals approach them for any reason."

While Thompson stated the department is still working on developing formal sketches of the suspects, he stated that the two escapees were male, of average height and weight and one had a distinctive skull tattoo that covered the suspect's upper right arm and chest. He would not release the names of the captured culprits.

According to Thompson, the individuals are suspected in working in cooperation with the infamous Calvin Blackmoon, but could not offer more information.

"While we have gathered quite a bit of evidence regarding the crime these individuals have allegedly committed, we need to refrain from sharing this information with the public for the time being," Thompson said. "This will allow us to know when we have captured the other culprits versus individuals who just gathered enough information from the media to pretend to have committed the crime."

Despite this limitation, Thompson was able to confirm that the individuals have not yet engaged in violent acts against other persons, but should be considered dangerous.

Blackmoon was unable to be reached for comment by press time.

Twenty-three-year-old Carmon Marvel witnessed the start of the chase, which occurred at the Millionaire Center around 7 a.m.

"There were a large explosion and quite a bit of broken glass," she said. "Four or five men -- I couldn't tell how many for sure because of all the smoke from the explosive -- ran away from the building, but didn't seem to be carrying anything.

"It was quite strange," Marvel continued. "Why would someone attack the Millionaire Center, but not take anything?"

The Millionaire Center confirmed in a press release that no items were stolen from its stock.

Dr. Ian Asmodeus was initially suspected to have aided the alleged criminals, given the skilled nature of the explosion. However, Asmodeus denies any involvement.

"At the moment, any citizen is welcome to enter Asmodeus Genetech Lab and purchase goods, and we cannot be held accountable for what they do with those purchases," he said. "We are considering a screening process of clientele in the future, given the delicate nature of some of our products."

Thompson confirmed that Asmodeus was ruled out as an accessory to the crime.

If citizens have any more information regarding the escaped suspects, the motive behind the attack or any information pertaining to the crime, they are encouraged to contact Sheriff Thompson directly at the Centropolis Police Department.
