Mainau always was, and probably always will be a clumsy antlephore.She trips over her own legs, over others theirs, over rocks. A donkey doesn't hit the same stone 2 times, Mainau does.It was no different on the sixth of may on the year of her fourth birthday.
The chocolate wizard was in town, making lives better with magical chocolate breweries. Now this wizard has a really really big cauldron with magical hot chocolate. The chocolate is poured out and extra spells are cast on it for every specific case. But the chocolate in the cauldron is already magical, and that's where in went wrong.
Mainau was stumbling across town and accidently discovered the hiding place of the wizard, a place covered up by magic. The magic wasn't foolproof, in the exact meaning of the word 'foolproof'. The magic wards only protected the hiding place from creatures with bad intentions and from people who could possibly do bad things with it. It wasn't protected from creatures like Mainau who were simply not smart enough to do bad things.You see, Mainau wasn't only clumsy, but on top of that she wasn't particularly intelligent. Or as her mother says it: "Mentally challenged", which sounds rather insulting. But she claims it sounds better if you say something is a challenge, everyone every now and then fails a challenge, right?
On that sixth of may, she wandered into the tent of the wizard, it was full with magical potions and there was one very big cauldron filled with magical chocolate.The amazing damp of the hot chocolate brewing made Mainau curious and she went to take a lick. It ended up being more than a lick. As Mainau approached the cauldron, she tripped and hit the cauldron with her head, unbalancing the cauldron and turning it upside down, on top of her. The curious little Antlephore wasn't only soaked in magical chocolate, she was stuck in it until half an hour later someone came into the tent and noticed something went awfully wrong. Half an hour of sitting in magical chocolate has consequences.
