When she got obsessed with other's attention
She wanted to be the most beautiful creature and let
Euclid work towards his pension.
A little twist here, a little change there
Make that face, do that fur - everything for the lobby
She didn't even look like a pet anymore, to be fair.
Her appearance started to be her only hobby.
Slowly other pets were repelled by her
Avoided her and her twin of a minion
But those creatures just didn't compare
And weren't worth a second look in her opinion
She decided to leave to where she was admired
And thought the jungle would be her best bet
With others as exotic and maybe similarly wired
She could serve as the dream of each and every pet.
She was overwhelmed upon her arrival
Everyone looked different, but no one cared
The only present worry was survival
Yet pets lived more freely than scared.
She laid her many eyes on a particular male
The first time she really noticed someone
Sur, the glade Manchu seemed to be up to scale
He looked gorgeous and appeared to be lots of fun
She loved his smell, his flowers and his smile
But he didn't ever notice her in that particular way.
He was only interested in poking his stick into things for a while
But she learned patience and waits for the day
That he might change and wants to be bound
That he might look at her in desire and aspiration
That their true, blooming love can be found
But that only takes place in her imagination.
So she collects flowers to pretend his warm presence
All alone in a beautiful scenery
Trying to capture his purified essence
Yet she only feeds on her mere melancholy.
