Honest to goodness, Mattie means well. And really, if you want him to keep meaning well, you’d best just keep your distance. Mattie’s easily offended, and rather sensitive when it comes to other’s comments, but instead of telling them, he gets aggressive. Like, seriously aggressive. And you don’t want to mess with the kid with the gun. He’s insecure about loads of stuff, too. He hates being teased about being the only non-fashionable member of the de’Medici family, about being the kid-brother of Jaye (he’s mortified), and about how his guns are pretty much his children. He’s named them all. His pistols are Linda and Laurie, his shoulder bazooka is Wendy, and his favourite shrapnel gun is Charlie. If you so much as touch the guns, you get a first hand demonstration as to how they work. No mercy comes from this kid. Without his guns, though, Mattie is virtually defenseless. He’s got no other kind of self defense, and will most likely either resort to what minimal Charm skills he knows, or fighting dirty. He knows when it’s better to lose a bit of pride and get away safe so you can have a shoot-out later. And he dares you to make fun of him for cowardice too. Go on. Make fun of the bazooka. >:C
