steine is a trickster by nature, and very rarely malicious
he runs a curiousity shop (out of a huge cart that he wheels all through the countryside / through various settlements behind him)
his wares are consistently cursed, or otherwise dangerous/alluring in some way
he never takes off his fox mask?? unless it's around someone he genuinely trusts OR one of his superiors (more info on that later)
he's SUPER capricious and constantly changes his loyalties. the only way to get him to do anything guaranteed correctly or whatever for a person is to bind him into it somehow?
