Marduk, as a demon, is rather cold, uninterested in most things, and does as he sees fit to do, whether or not it's at the expense of others. He keeps control of the body he's trapped in most of the time, simply traveling to different places, with no ultimate goal for him to pursue.
Markus, the human who was cursed with being the seal for the powerful demon, has very few moments when he takes control. He's become delusional over the years, after falling asleep in one spot, only to find himself somewhere quite different when he wakes up. Many people write him off as crazy on first sight, something that bothers him a bit, but does nothing to refute.
