- Beau is the male twin to his sister, Opal. They hatched from the same egg. However, Opal will claim to be the older due to breaking out first.
- He and Opal had meant to take the other potion; however, a clumsy spill mixed the two potions into one. They're the type of siblings to egg each other on, so they both drank from the mixed concoction. Beau became a Blacklight Serpenth, while Opal became Spectrum.
- Though Serpenths aren't capable of flight, Spectrum and Blacklight Serpenths are among the few colors that are capable of gliding. Opal and Beau often ride the winds, leaving behind dual trails of rainbows.
