Piyo Min was always different than the other little children around her. Her eyes were darker, more distant, as though she was seeing what was not there. Her father, single, concerned for his only little girl, took her to several child psychologists. None of them could provide an answer for him though; she wasn`t developmentally disabled. She wasn`t autistic. But for some reason she still refused to speak during classes unless she was called on, and then she would stutter out the answers nervously. She had no friends, even by age seven, and more than once came home from school crying, with a dress covered in dust. Her father was heartbroken over the way his daughter was growing up, but he could do very little; his work kept him busy most of the time.
Piyo Min hated school desperately. The other children picked on her and called her strange, said she was a freak. Sometimes they pushed her down on the playground if she tried to get up and play with them. To avoid seeing the look on her father`s face when she came home dirty, she took to spending all of her recess times sitting in the corner against the wall.
She made a wish one night, staring up at the sky. Her father was away on a business trip, and all she asked for was someone who could always be there for her, who could make everything right...
