Story: Tyger was born in a fuedal type land. The son of a baron, he was of lesser nobility, which was a problem when he fell for a duke's daughter. In their society, it's forbidden to cross nobility lines or class lines. When her younger and power hungry brother found out about their trist, he told the duke. To wipe the shame from their family, he had his daughter executed.
Ty then turned to the dark arts to seek revenge. However, in that wiley way of demons and dark magic, he got sucked in deeper than planned and his soul was tainted. The magic became like a drug to keep himself from thinking of his murdered lover. Putting off mourning and refusing to come to terms with her death opened him to being further taken advantage of by dark energy and slowly he began to turn partially demonic himself as the years and decades passed.
His feline (at least theoretically) minion that follow him is actually a demonic entity, of disputable morals and ethics.
