Miska is a huge wolf hybrid that appeared on the grounds of a Native American tribe as a skinny one year old. Near death, the wolfdog's front leg had been severed by a bear trap, and the pup had managed to chew off his leg to get free. The children of the tribe nursed him back to health, dubbing him "Miska", meaning 'bear'.

Three years later, the three-legged beast still hangs around, taking advantage of the scraps given to him by the native people.

Despite roaming the camp often, Miska still will not let any adult touch him. In fact, no one really knows the creature's gender: they cannot get close enough. Despite this, the big wolfdog doesn't mind the children. He lets them pet him, hug him, and stick feathers in his braided fur.

Usually the wolfdog watches over the people from a distance like a guardian. Some of the tribe members believe the peaceful canine is a guardian. Others are convinced he's just a regular dog.

Miska often disappears into the vast landscape, not returning for days or weeks.(Overlay is coming)
