A long time ago, before Subeta was named Subeta and occupied by various creatures, a single star exploded near Atebus. The energy released from the explosion did not disperse into space - it instead manifested itself into a single fox-like being, whose coat was as dark as space itself and glittering with gold markings, as rich as the stars around him.
After silently blinking open his bright eyes, he looked down at his paws and moved them a couple of times, testing their purpose. He waved his tail and shook out his entire body, which was tingling with energy. Grinning, he flapped his paws a a few times and discovered, if he flapped hard enough, he could move forward. When he stopped moving his paws, he just floated there, in space.
Soon, though, he became tired of flapping his paws and tucked them against his body, in a sleeping position, but immediately found himself shooting forward. Scared, he spread his legs and came to a halt that sent him tumbling and spiraling before he could regain his simple floating.
He panted for a minute or two, mind racing.
He then cackled, tucked his legs in again, and aimed slightly downward. Whipping through space at a very fast speed had it's appeals, and soon he decided that he actually quite enjoyed spiraling after quickly stopping his fast movements.
Life was good.

The creature realized that he was not alone in the universe as he played day after day, sometimes stumbling upon different creatures similar to himself, deep blue with shimmery gold markings. Named Junis by a couple of the creatures he became friends with, he spent his time dashing and floating and spiraling through space, exploring the different universes and many different places and adventures it had waiting for him.

Years passed, and Junis grew quite old, to the point where he didn't enjoy racing and spiraling so much as floating and talking with the other beings of his kind. And one day, while floating tiredly, the gold markings on his body glowed brighter than ever before, and soon the light expanded, going over his entire body. Junis wasn't surprised. He had a feeling that this would happen one day.
He curled into a ball and let the light envelope his body. There was an exceptional burst of light, then slowly, the sky around him dimmed, leaking away into space to show a tiny yet beautiful star, glowing brightly in the dark blue sky.
