MY ADDED FLAVOR TEXT


(non-canon, just for fun. ha.)

As you walk through the bustling streets of one of the many cities of Subeta, the air is filled with the excitement of Luminaire. It's a route you've taken many times before, but on this day, a peculiar sight catches your eye: a vibrant flash against the suddenly more muted colors of the season.
It's a lone red butterfly adorned with black markings. The tiny creature appears to be part of one of the Unliving strains, though you usually see them in groups, flitting about their host. But... this little one is carrying something?
It hovers in front of you, its delicate wings fluttering frantically. It seems exhausted. Without hesitation, you extend your open palm & the butterfly drops the burden of a rolled piece of paper into your hand. Before you can do anything else, it vanishes into thin air, leaving behind a swirl of scarlet mist.


Compelled by curiosity, you unroll the paper. As you do, your vision blurs a bit as a strange sensation tingles in the back of your mind. The dimensions of the paper distort, causing it to unroll far larger than it was moments ago.
The whole thing makes you feel a bit unwell, but your inquisitiveness wins out.

On it is written the following:

Yo -insert friend's name here-! :)

...it doesn't actually say your name, just insert friend's name here. You have a sneaking suspicion who probably sent this.

I really need your help! All of my blobs have gone missing & I'm having a very difficult time locating them all. It's like they suddenly decided to blob off on some blob adventure or something. Can you believe it??? Seriously, they're faster than you'd think for being mostly goo & I don't know how far they may have traveled already!

If you happen to spot a blob out there without an owner, please let me know. I could really use your skills to bring my blobby babies back home. Oh! & I promise, even though a few of they might look a little strange, they're completely harmless. Well, mostly harmless, I guess. But, hey, no need to worry about that, ok? I'll make sure to figure out a way to properly thank you or your next of kin, I suppose for helping me out. I just miss them so much! I can't do this without you! ;^;

Full disclosure, I did a little so̴m̶̩͂͠e̸t̶h̷̘́̄i̴̱̠̐n̶g̵ to this paper, maybe you noticed? But, it should update when someone finds one of my poor lost blobs! &, no, you're not the only one of my friends who got one. It's also perfectly safe to carry this paper around for a little while. You really do worry too much. It's fine. But, maybe, we should try to hurry? & not just for your sake?
