It was raining.

One thing he would never be able to forget about that day was how cold he had felt, just before that strange force had wrapped itself around him. It had been so soft at first, so gentle. For a second or two it had made him feel safe. Then it started getting stronger and stronger. It started to get hard to breathe.

It was raining.

He had tried to hold on to the feeling of the cold droplets hitting his skin. He tried to make his mind focus on following them as the mapped the contours of his upturned face. He tried to hold on to what little awareness he had left. But the force was still growing, and breathing was getting harder...

It was raining.

But he couldnt feel the chill of the icy water anymore. He couldnt hear the familiar noises of the busy world he knew so well. He stretched his limbs, feeling the strength he had lost so quickly flowing back into his muscles. None of the textures of home were there to meet his questing hands. The pressure was easing off his lungs and he took as deep a breath as he dared, but none of the familiar scents of home were there.

It was raining.

The strange force had vanished, and it took his home with it. He looked around, scared and confused. There was nothing to tell him where he was or what had happened. Something had siezed him and pulled him away from his home, and he didnt know what, or why.

His eyes kept flickering from one point to the next, trying to find anything that looked even slightly familiar. And through it all, he was shivering from the chill in the air as the drops kept hitting him.

It was raining.
