... Very well then. My name is Demetrios. I enjoy spending time in the library I have single-handedly put together. So much so that I seldom venture outside of my books, and without them I've been known to display a bit of a temper. On that note, I abhor the name Dem, and if you speak it in my presence, I cannot be held accountable for my actions.

Despite these glaringly obvious faults of mine, I am seen as the un-official head of house for this tragic band of misfits. As much as I would like to insist that the eldest male should perform the duties of head of house...

... I can see why I was chosen.

Besides the previously mentioned occurrences/situations, I believe I am a calm and nonjudgmental person. If I appear ... biased or unreasonably harsh I most likely have a valid reason for my actions.

History

In my opinion, what happened to me before joining 'The Family' is of no relevance. The past is the past and it is best not to dwell on it. However, I will discuss what happened once I had made a home for myself here.

In the beginning, there was only Seda, Iwazo, and myself. Back then, Seda was a bit more unsteady ... unstable than she is now. With Seda in such a state, I had to get a job as Iwazo was not allowed such an opportunity. He spent his days looking after Seda, who needed our help just as we needed hers. In time, we grew accustomed to our roles, even when the family grew from a mere trio to a family of nine souls.

Perhaps it my role that pushed me to the edge. The reason I said and did those terrible things. The true culprit that made Iwazo leave 'The Family'.

True, he has since returned. But more for Seda and ... Aslin's sake than anyone else's.
