Argoyel wasn't always the bloodthirsty predator that he is today. Argoyel once lived a normal life with his simple family. He never used to like the sight of blood, in fact he was terrified of it. He spent his days wandering the forests and exploring the land around his small house. That is, until one fateful evening. He was heading home at dusk as he usually did when he heard a terrifying noise, a deafening screech that shattered the silence of the night. He crept forward carefully until in the dim moonlight he saw what had happened. A large animal must have come in search of food and upon seeing their defenseless home it had made a meal of his mother. His first feeling was a fear that numbed his body, but soon rage welled up inside of Argoyel and he found himself charging at the monstrous creature. But he was no match. The animal lunged, and with his arm swept Argoyel flying back into a tree. Before he blacked out, the last thing he saw was the creature, dragging his mother's lifeless body with him into the darkness. Argoyel was changed forever that night, he couldn't control his own mind anymore and all he knew was hatred, hatred for anything that could breathe. He wanted everything gone, he wanted everyone dead. For years he has kept to his motive and one will rarely see him without his fangs covered in fresh blood.
Argoyel loved to hunt. It was his job, and his life. All he cared about was the next kill. Sometimes he did it for food, but usually he just killed because he wanted to. Argoyel had no companions, and no one to talk to, but he was never sad, in fact he rarely felt emotions. Occasionally he felt content after a particularly challenging animal was killed, and sometimes he felt especially bloodthirsty.Argoyel always stayed in the forest, he hated it yet he had to stay; he had to kill everything inside of it.
One night, he was walking through a dense cluster of trees, and when he came to the edge he saw a clearing where there were three men. Aroyel sniffed the air to be sure, but he was right, they were humans! With glee he remembered the sweet fleshy smell of humans. Argoyel rarely ventured into cities with humans, opting to pick off lone animals in the woods or terrorizing the occasional forest village of pets. Humans were usually in large groups, and therefore too hard to attack, but they were delicious. Eager to taste human blood once more Argoyel slowly crept closer. The men were dressed in layers of tattered clothing, mostly browns and reds. They were stocky and strong, but completely off-guard. They were conversing loudly to one another about "tides" and "cannons". Argoyel was unfamiliar with the terms but he soon saw something beyond the men that confirmed his suspicion, he saw a ship! The ocean vessels of woodland lore. This marked the men as Pirates for sure. Pirates were something rarely seen in the area, but Argoyel knew much about them from the stories his mother used to tell.
As the sun set the men left their camp site in the clearing and went to the shore and in preparation for their return Argoyel clawed his way up the trunk of the nearest tree and waited for someone to come back. Time passed and then suddenly his ears pricked up and he saw his dinner walking back from the shore. Two of the men stumbled beneath Argoyel's tree, while the last was probably still by the ship. Argoyel dug his claws deep into the bark of the tree in anticipation of the delicious meal, then he waited for the perfect moment. As soon as the men were facing in opposite directions, he jumped. He fell fast, and landed upright with his back paws on one man's shoulders. There was an audible cracking noise from beneath him, then Argoyel let himself slip backwards and while falling down the man's back he used his front claws the gouge into the man's back. Argoyel landed softly on the sandy ground but the man fell hard, already dead. It all happened in a split second and he knew it was a magnificent kill. The second man had now turned around and was charging at Argoyel for a kick. As the man's leg swung, Argoyel leaped upward, matching the momentum of the leg so he didn't feel the kick. In mid-air he extended his claws and grabbed the man's leg, the man began to shake his leg furiously so Argoyel bit down as hard as he could. Human blood was more delicious than he had remembered. Blood trickled through his teeth and down his throat giving him more strength; then with a jerk of the neck Argoyel ripped off the Pirate's leg. Tossing it aside he then leaped at the pirate's face. The last thing the Pirate saw before his death was a sharp set of glistening red fangs flying toward him.
