My tree is located down at the pond

The touch of my tufts are much softer than silk,
And they have the sweet smell of fresh butterfly milk.

On top of my tuft, a swamee swan built his nest.
Admittedly, sometimes, he could be a pest,
But I've grown to like him, who could have guessed?

Sometimes I am visited by hungry barbaloots
Who climb up my trunk to eat some of my fruits.

At daytime I listen to the humming fish sing
I would join them in song, but that isn't my thing.

They say that the dryads of other tree species
Will hurt anyone who harms their trees
But Truffula dryads are not like these, we prefer peace
So don't chop us down, if you please.
