Short Bio: As a child, Lakio stayed with his older brother, Lamon, who was ten years older than him. Lakio never knew what happened to his parents, but as long as he was with his brother, he didn't care. He simply accepted reality for what it was.

Lamon spoiled him. Always brought him little odds-and-ends, bought him whatever food he wanted (as long as it was within price range), and always took him out to places like the park or recreational center for some fun. Lakio loved it. He was sure he was the only person in Lamon's life that was loved so dearly. That is, until his older brother came home one evening, sporting a large grin. Lamon immediately started rambling about some Spectrum Kumos he'd met while performing one of his pranks. He never told Lakio what those pranks were, but he always talked about the surprise on his victim's faces and how angry they would get when he told them he was joking. However, this Kiegan was different. Because he was the only "victim" Lamon continued to prank. For days, Lamon would come home to share another story. He would talk about how he and Kiegan were friends now. The pranking was something Kiegan would look forward to, for some reason Lakio couldn't quite comprehend. To say Lakio was growing jealous of this new addition to his brother's life would be an understatement. His feelings were growing towards disdain.

And then, one day, Lamon didn't come back. The cops came, instead. They took Lakio to their station, sat him down, and, with eyes the young Wyllop would never forget, told him that his older brother was dead. Lamon wasn't ever coming back. Some mean ol' man had killed him in an alley. They spared him the grisly details, but his young imagination ran wild. It ran through every bad thing he'd ever seen people do to each other on TV. And he cried. He cried for what felt like forever, hugging his knees to his chest and wishing the world would just disappear around him. He cried until a Spectrum Kumos sat down beside him, introduced himself as Kiegan, and, with his voice cracking, told Lakio he was going to be taking care of him from now on.

Lakio didn't want Kiegan taking care of him. He didn't know Kiegan. He wanted Lamon back. But, he knew that wasn't how things worked. So, he went with the Kumos, anyway. Lakio thought about giving his new guardian a hard time. Acting out and stuff. Because he didn't like him; he'd been jealous too long. Yet, he heard Kiegan crying. When the older man thought Lakio couldn't hear or see him, he'd cry. So, Lakio decided it would be better for both of them if he just behaved like he was supposed to.

For eleven years Kiegan raised Lakio. The two came to love each other like any father and son. And Lakio wound up just as spoilt with Kiegan as he'd been with his brother.

For his eighteenth birthday, Lakio wanted to go out on the town to celebrate. His father wasn't a very sociable person, definitely not one to visit any clubs, so he was hesitant to ask. Surprisingly, it didn't take long to convince Kiegan to let him spend the night out. He was eighteen, after all, Kiegan said. Giving Lakio the responsibility to look after himself would be a good gift, wouldn't it? He was still going to bake him a birthday cake, though. Lakio smiled at his father and left.

He had a great time. Hung out with some friends he met up with. When he returned home, his world shattered for a second time. He'd expected to see a colorful, neon-colored cake waiting for him. Maybe a few presents. Definitely Kiegan's brilliant smile. What he got, instead, was the image of his father's body lying in a pool of his own blood, a pencil, of all things, shoved into his throat. And Lakio screamed. Lakio screamed, and he screamed, and he screamed. He backed out of the house, whole body shaking, as he tried to make the image go away. As he tried to make everything just go away. Go back to the way it was. This wasn't happening. Not again.

He couldn't tell the neighbors that came to scoop him off the ground what was wrong. He couldn't tell the cops that showed up, once again, what had happened. Because he didn't know. He didn't want to know. He just wanted...nothing. Nothing would be better than what he had now. What he had now was pain. Pain that wasn't ever going to go away.

He was taken to the hospital, evaluated, and put through therapy. It helped, after a while. Numbed the pain, even if the loss was still there. Lakio didn't think he would ever truly recover from losing Kiegan the way he did, though.

He was 'rescued' by a human named Saan. The hospital didn't feel he should stay by himself when he was released, so they took it upon themselves to sort of 'place' him with her. He didn't want to go with her. He didn't know her. But, he went anyway. The House wasn't so bad. There were a lot of other Pets there to keep him occupied. To watch over him, he also thought with disdain. That didn't stop him from crying almost every night when the thoughts of, well, everything got to be overwhelming. The others could hear him, he knew, but he didn't care. Let them hear. Let them know he wasn't okay.

Until, one night, as he sobbed with his face in his pillow, he felt a weight on the edge of his bed. Someone else was in his room. Someone else was also crying. Lakio stiffened, unsure of who this intruder was or how they snuck into his room unnoticed. He carefully turned around, looked over his shoulder, and was beyond surprised to see Kiegan sitting there with his face in his hands and his shoulders shaking with his cries. Lakio was confused. People don't just pop up like that, not-dead, when they were, previously, very dead. He almost told himself he could chalk up hallucinations to his list of mental issues. However, he knew what he was seeing was real. Without warning, he launched himself at Kiegan, wrapping his arms around his father's shoulders. They were warm. He was warm. He was real and he was alive and Lakio didn't care how or why.

The specifics of Kiegan's resurrection soon made themselves known. Shinryuu, the resident dragon god of Chaos, had grown tired of both Lakio's and Kiegan's cries keeping him awake at night. So, he magicked the Kumos back into a corporeal form to get the both of them to shut up. The residents of The House knew better than to question the god; they did not look the gift horse in the mouth. Lakio had his dad back and that's all that mattered. He could finally heal because there was no reason to grieve anymore.

Recently, Lakio has been focused on the two Fae he encountered in the woods behind The House. Kei has really gained his attention. And affections. Terr not far behind.

I've tried to hold myself together
Tried to forget you've gone away
