TikTok had an odd assortment of different technologies all mashed together inside of him. He had been created using a Steamworks process so there were cogs, bolts, gears, nuts, and screws all hidden underneath his metal plating. It was a hodgepodge of different materials such as brass, bronze, copper, gold, iron, and silver. He didn't need to be wound up like a toy though no matter how old-fashioned some parts seemed.

Modern advancements like batteries, circuit boards, computer chips, and memory cards powered all of it. It was a strange combination of steampunk technology. Electricity danced across his wires and acted in the same way that a nervous system would. Oil pumped through his pipes like blood pulsing in veins.

Does something mechanical really have a soul? Is it alive? These questions have always been in the back of his mind. He was built, not born.

TikTok didn't dwell on it that much though. He had a purpose. He was a fighter. He battled in the arena on a regular basis and many of his opponents considered him to be a formidable foe. He excelled in combat and trained with various different masters over the course of his life. He genuinely enjoyed doing what he did as well. He wanted to become the Ultimate Champion. Then, one day, he was hit hard during one of his brawls and something was knocked out of place. At first it seemed like it was easy enough to fix. It was just a minor inconvenience and nothing more. But soon enough other pieces of him started to fall apart or loosen. Entire systems began to break down and malfunction. His focus therefore shifted to general maintenance where he tirelessly worked to keep himself together, but for some reason it never seemed to help. He just couldn't figure out why. There was always something else that needed his attention; a different section that required reconstruction.

Over time his personality began to change. He became obsessed with improvements and repairs even though he didn't really need to do them anymore; however, the steady sound of his cogs and gears is so rhythmic...

Tick tock... tick tock... tick tock.
