Deep within the tundra of Subeta's Arctic Frost, where the bitter wind bites any skin left unprotected and the snow is so cold it burns, lives Chai. Having long ago lost his way on a trek through the Polar Ice Fields, Chai has given up finding his way back home and instead focuses on his survival. Through harsh nights and days that are much too short to offer even the slightest respite, Chai is always on the move. This is to ensure that his muscles don't become stiff; he's heard whispers about those who stopped moving and were unable to start again. The cold is indiscriminate. It can and will claim anyone who comes unprepared.
Having spent so much time in these areas, Chai couldn't help but come to know the creatures who lived here. For the most part, they were great help. They, better than anyone else, knew how to survive the climate; knew how to excel in it, even. They could gather food, build shelter, and alert of any danger.
