A little girl walks along the edge of the swamp, she looks to be no more than seven but she has no apparent fear of what might lurk in the shadows. Behind her in the water there is movement of a large creature following her, stalking her. She hasn't noticed anything yet and occasionally stops to pick small scruffy pumpkins growing in the soggy dirt or throw scraps from her lunch into the tree line for other animals to have.
By now her hands are full and the creature that had been stalking her is getting closer. Suddenly a large creature bursts out of the water with a roar and a splash! Its large dinosaur head hangs over the little girl, mouth open ready to devour her in a single bite!
"You stupid overgrown fish!" the little girl squeals. Turning she looks at the beast as it sinks down into the water, blowing bubbles from its nose at her. "Don't take that tone with me young man!" repeating what she has heard her mother say countless times to her older brother. She tosses a pumpkin at her a pet which he catches easily and swallows looking around for more.
Once the little girl is out of pumpkins and sweets she says "I think its time we head home now silly! Come on climb out!"
Hauling itself partially out of the water its flesh is like mother of pearl, white but with swirls of color. It uses its snout to nudge the girl up onto the center of its back and when it is sure she is settled, pushes itself back into the water but taking care to keep its back and ward above the water and dry. They swim farther into the swamp and soon they are out of site, only small foot prints and puddles remain.
