You enjoy pain. Inflicting it on others, mainly. There's no 'physical' gratification from it - you just find pain so... so beautiful. The swell of blood around a rough cut; the whimpers and screams of your subjects; the rattling breaths as their bodies struggle to cope. It's an art-form, a science, destroying the body in such a way that they never quite die. When you make a wrong cut, slide the knife or scalpel the wrong way, break a few too many bones - they die, yes, but you find the death beautiful in its own way, too. Sometimes you take pictures, file them away for later, to flick through at your leisure... but really, they're no replacement for the thrill of practicing your art. Photos will never quite capture the gleam of blood, the pin-sharp detail of slicked-back fur. You take mementos from every enjoyable canvas, a locket here, a bracelet there; stow them alongside the photos.

Nobody else comes into your place. It's a basement, really, all cold stone and chilly air. They leave you alone, Naiaki and Ariaku. Oriani likes to watch, sometimes, clutching your darling Mia like a living doll. He tends to terrify the unlucky saps you manage to drag down here, and that makes their pain all the sweeter. They may squeal, they may struggle, but it's art.

It's perfect.
