Hatred always feels effortless, instinctive, natural. Love needs to be taught, an intricate performance that can only be executed by healthy, wholesome souls. Nobody needs to be taught how to hate, only what to hate and what is acceptable to do to those you hate.

These days you are not even surprised anymore; no disappointment, only expected normal human behavior. Or there is no point to the hatred, because who are you to do anything important in this world.

Yet sometimes abhorrence shows up anyways, bright flashes in a dull gunmetal sea, and so be it. New scenarios occasionally take the 'expected human behavior' ever lower. You are no paragon of virtue, but you are still better. You are still better, even when the right thing to do is a total win-win. What else can you feel when people are too deplorable to save themselves and do the wrong thing anyways? Perhaps abhorrence is the only thing left to feel.

And you know people hate you, belittle you for what you are born as. You know hate is ugly. You know there are acceptable vs unacceptable reasons for hate. But they were taught from birth to hate you, and it's too late to do anything but hate back in return.

And so be it, let's see who will outlive who.
