I'm a man of wealth and taste
In his prime, Djall had been an angel. He lived in the heavens with his father, who he adored. But his father wasn’t quite as fond of Djall as he was of his daughter, Anagke. She was beautiful and had powers beyond Djall’s understanding. The lowly angel was shunned, made fun of and bullied till he simply couldn’t take it.
It was a cold night when he took his leave. Rain fell, something he had never seen before, and lightning lit up the angry sky. It was his father, summoning his return. But he ignored it. Thunder boomed and Djall kept running, falling, flying toward what he thought would be a better place. But where he landed was so much worse. The earth, full of strange beings, was something so similar to hell.
But at the time, Djall had no idea what hell was.
Stole many a man's soul and faith
He walked among them for years, running from his father, from his family. His brothers, Picollus and Apedemak, were hunting him. They had spent so much of their time among the strange creatures on earth, and they were keen with their tracking skills. But Djall was always one step ahead. It didn’t help that the two brothers left quite the body count in their wake, while Djall lived a silent existence. It wasn’t that he didn’t have a negative impact on the world – it was quite the opposite. His impact was so great, and he played such a small role, that it looked as though it had all been up to fate; up to his sister.
But this fun could only last for so long. Soon, Djall found himself cornered. His brothers had caught onto his game. They took him back to their father where he was to be sentenced to his punishment. The scene played out like a courtroom drama. The entire family was gathered, waiting. His father stood tall above them all, holding tight to a cane, glaring with a hatred that had till now been reserved for strangers.
Is the nature of my game
“For this betrayal,†he had said, the words burned into Djall’s memory. “You will be sent to hell. You are my son, however. I will allow you freedom to do with as you please. But I do not want to see you again, Djall. Here or on earth.â€
With that, his sentence was decided. One touch of his father’s cane burned to symbol of hell into his arm and Djall was locked away in the pit of fire and brimstone.
The fun, however, did not stop. This place was magical for Djall. Though he had lost his angelic appearance in the fall, he was still God’s son and still powerful. He took over hell like it was his own. He gathered minions, hell hounds and demons of all types.
The fallen angel had never been happier than he was in hell.
Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints
As heads is tails
Just call me Lucifer
'Cause I'm in need of some restraint
