Ah, you came back! I piqued your curiosity, aye? ;) I suppose you've come to hear about the Twilight Guards secret. I'll tell you, but I must warn you, its a sad tale. You remember that I said the Twilight Guards magic worked in a strange way? No?? -sighs and mumbles under his breath- Stupid kids dont listen.... Anyways, their magic worked in a way that when they created something they also created its counterpart. Or, its opposite. So, when they created Terona, they also created her twin sister, Illumia. This is her story..... After Terona and Illumia were created, the Twilight guard quickly separated them. They were afraid that once they saw eachother their natural instincts would be to kill eachother. They gave Terona to the king, and sent Illumia back to their main fortress. They called the fortress Garendar, which in their tounge means, "Holy Temple". You see, the Twilight Guard was actually a holy sect. Ironically, they worshiped two twin goddesses. One was the essence of pure good, the other of pure evil. Their names were Illumia and Terona. Yes, they named the creatures after their deities. They thought they had brought their goddesses down to earth. They happily gave away the evil one, but Illumia wasnt so lucky. They locked her deep in their fortress and kept her heavily chained down. There they worshiped her. They brought animals in to sacrifice to her for food, but never unchained her. At night Illumia would cry tears of liquid flame. Her wail could be heard all through the country side. It even stretched all the way back to that ancient empire, to the ears of her sister. The pain in that cry enraged Terona, and she tore the empire apart looking for her sister. It wasnt until the entire kingdom was gone that she finally found her. Deep in Garendar, Illumia heard Terona attacking the outside of the fortress. She had no intention of just sitting there waiting for her sister. She struggled to her feet under the heavy chains, then she let out a deafening roar! The flames on her back blazed white hot, and melted right through the chains. She was free! The Twilight Guard thought that, since Illumia was a pure good goddess, she wouldnt hurt them. Apparently they've never angered a goddess. ;) Whats that old saying? Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned? ;) Illumia tore through the inner sanctum of the fortress, slaughtering all in her way! The Twilight Guard tried to fight back, but their magic was useless with the sisters this close together. Their power grew ten fold when they were near one another. Finally, Illumia found her way to the surface in time to see Terona tear the last of the towers down. When the dust cleared, they finally laid eyes on eachother. Two sisters, twins, separated for so long, were finally together again. They decided to stay in the land where they were created. Illumia was able to tame Terona some, and Terona taught Illumia how to fight. To this very day you can see them sparing in the sky at night. A streak of fire chasing a cloud of darkness. Twin sisters, happily together again. Thats the tale of the Twilight Guards secret. Thats all we know of Illumia. Shes never mentioned by name in any other culture. Come back again! I might have some more stories for you later, you never know.;)
