Glosa - Glosa is an international auxiliary language...It is an "isolating" language - there are no inflections, so that words remain always in their original form, no matter what function they have in the sentence. - Wikipedia
If there is one thing people crave, it is to know what is just over that horizon. To see things that have never been seen and to know things that has never been known. That is the true drive in us all. Unfortunately, this drive can be ultimately fatal. Volcanoes, jungles, glaciers, and the deep sea. They have all claimed their share of brave yet curious lives. Until Project Frontier.
Project Frontier was designed to combat the lethality of knowledge. Robots were built to gather information in the most hospitable of places. Able to collect any type of data imaginable, they were also sturdy enough to take any kind of environmental abuse.
Model GX1-53Y, also known as Glosa, is one of the premier Project Frontier robots. He was built by hand as a final example to investors after the bugs in the prototypes were worked out. Rugged terrain, vacuum of space, below freezing temperatures, and deep sea pressure don't even faze him.
However, he is a little different from the other robots. Having been built in a laboratory surrounded by people, he is not as cold and unfeeling as others of his kind. He learned empathy, emotions, beauty, and kindness to living things. When asked if this has caused him to become philosophical about himself, Glosa just laughs and says that he can feel and that is alive enough for him. Though it takes a steady ear to understand him, as his time with the scientists has also taught him to speak in thick accents.
Out in the world now, Glosa is up to his neck in projects and research. Always on the move, always taking data, he nonetheless does find the time to admire the scenery or attempt to converse with a local. So if you see him, do not be afraid. Glosa would be more than delighted to sit and share his knowledge with you.
_____
Glosa appears as a steamworks sheeta. The color and amount of smoke from his horns indicates his mood. White wisps means a good mood while black bellowing smoke means he's in a bad mood, though the latter is often rare. His robotic limbs allow him to change between quad and anthro forms. The quad form is normally for travel while anthro is usually reserved for conducting research.
