"Ah! I saw something wiggle down there!"

Eida lives in the bathroom of the asylum. The one lion pawed tub has been made into a bed for her while the latrines and showers head take up all the leftover space. To her this isn't a strange place to be at all. People quietly come in and enjoy themselves. They wash away all the dirt and then happily leave in a daze.

Peeking up from her tub shelter she sometimes will spy on the guests wandering in though she won't ever speak.

[ Story Time ]

I am Eida. My favorite things are blowing bubbles in the tub, swimming, and spying. I am a lurker of curiosity. Even though nothing really changes all that much everyone is still really interesting. One day, or maybe it was evening, or morning I'm not sure? Anyway to explain this I get to see almost everyone in our home at least once a week. I can always tell who's coming because of the way their feet touch the linoleum tiles. Today I saw a very different person.

I was outside of the tub at the time letting my feet splish around in the pool-like area under the shower heads when the first came though the door. The duck in my hand was squeezed and squealed loudly in the awkward vast room. I didn't mean to be rude by staring, I'm really just shy and that's all I could do.

The first one through the doorway was Unmitigated, the next was a man I've never seen before which made me freeze even more. They held a pad of paper in one hand and a pen in the other. I don't know why but suddenly I shrunk and felt depressed. Every time I had seen someone stand or sit with those things it seemed like an ill omen. Unmitigated continued on talking with the person. I wasn't concentrating on the words at all. He left though leaving the new presence to approach me closely raising the pad up to write. They spoke to me but I may have panicked.
The next I knew my razors were fitted into the joint of each of my fingers and the person was face down in the pool of water. Their blood oozed out and spread across the surface. In full panic mode now I darted to empty the pool but had no idea what to do with the body. I knew one place to keep it out of everyone's seeing eyes. Half dragging half struggling I tossed it into my own lion-pawed tub.

As I said before, I can tell who's coming when I hear their footsteps, Unmitigated was returning from his short errand. I used the bloodied water to slide over into each of the faucets turning all the shower heads on at once and flooding the center of the large room. Evidence gone I plugged the hole to the pool up again. My last drudging thing was crawl into my tub to act innocent when Unmitigated finally made his appearance. In he came, looking around slowly then turned to me, "You seem to have grown some Eida." I was so tired, my heart was pounding very fast so I tried to come up with something to say but---

The only sound that came out was a tiny chirp.

Unmitigated seemed satisfied with that, turning to exit this place again. I sighed breathless and leaned against my tub. The corpse actually made for a very soft cushion, this could work out for the time being.
