I remember that day, the day Ice Ridge fell. I was on my way home from working all night to do inventory of what we would need, since the suppliers were due to come in anyday now and take our order. I had stopped into the clinics shed to see if there was any extra supplies in there. The ground shook as I was suddenly hit with the wooden boards of the shed not knowing the snow now blanketed the entire town. For hours maybe days even I wondered if I'd live or not, then finally I saw light as rescuers found me. As they helped me out I looked over my beloved town to see nothing but white. I saw them helping a town guard and three others, one I knew well as Mhaya. I wanted to comfort them but was at a loss of what to say, so I stayed quiet. I knew Mhaya she volunteered at the clinic most days and had become an apprentice and almost like a daughter to me. Why is it when I was needed most I failed her.......why is god so cruel?
