Jiao is regal fussy and bossy to to subjects, but he can be because he's the emperor.Jiao is a dominating to his subjects. Ruling his vast Kingdom with other's fear of his power. He causes many suffering to his followers through war with other nations. Many people are starving and their houses are ruins. Jiao ignores the pleas of his people because he just wants more power being greedy and selfish for his own needs.Because he was the eldest son of three he automatically got the throne when his father became of old age. His father who supported his son, during his son's initiation. Was clueless to the true nature of his son.. and watches from afar as his son sinks lower in lower from the little boy he used to knew. He never expected his Kingdom to be so changed from when he ruled the empire. He is shamed and wants to stop him, but he is now so old..no longer having the strength to over power his son.

Left to no choice he must trick his son into stepping down from throne without raising submission from the people. So he starts to research ancient Chinese remedies in secret, trying tof ind a solution. He find one and starts to brew a potion, made many grounded up parts of ancient and mythical creatures. He is still worried about his son though and wishes the potion as only a last option and he decided to give the boy one more chance to redeem himself.

He goes to the boy alone and asks him "Why are you doing this?". Jiao is in a foul mood gets in the man's face and pushes him to the wall and whispers an answer to him. The answer Jiao gives is disgusting and bloodthirsty and slightly psychotic only proving to the old man that his son is long gone. Before his son can react the old king takes out his potion and blows the powered substance over his son. His Son drops to the floor starts to change and into some sort of misshaped-en Dragon creature screaming all the while. The potion effect was supposed to show you as your true nature of your soul. Confused and disorientated at his new form Jiao runs out of the palace knocking over guards and statues in the process. The Towns people see the beast and run in fear, as braver ones gather weapons to defeat the beast. Jiao is attacked and left bloody and bruised as he still trys to escape in the confusion. Eventual he gets away and flys away and hides in the mountains .

The old king through saddened at what transpired feels that his actions was needed to save his kingdom and bring his people back together again. The king decides to rule his land now through as a council with his two other sons, and begins to teaches them right and wrong, being a mentor and and father and not just a figure of a King... As he once was with Jiao.
