My name is Granite and this is my story................Granite a husky puppy that is running away from home. He runs and runs until he's in the middle of the forest. Granite was getting a drink from a little stream when he heard tree branches breaking. He looked up and saw a huge grizzly bear with her cubs. Granite tried to be as still as he could. Then when the bears left he ran he ran so far and hard that he wasn't looking where he was going and went rolling down a hill that led to a meadow. the meadow smelled of cat. Granite looked over and there was a huge pile of boulders and at the top of the boulders was a bobcat. The bobcat looked at Granite like he would be a tasty treat to eat. Just as the bobcat started to climb down the boulders a sourful howl came from the top of the hill. It was a she wolf named Snowdrift. When the bobcat heard the howl and saw Snowdrift he ran. Snowdrift started coming down the hill where Granite laid. then came more howls and then more wolves were at the top of the hill looking at Granite. By that time Snowdrift had reached Granite and was sniffing him all over. Then Snowdrift howled for the rest of the pack to come down and see Granite. the wolves sniffed granite. Climber, the one year old wolf who was the youngest, wagged his tail. Strider growled at Granite and Snowdrift gave a mean growl back and Strider put his tail between his legs. Breeze a she wolf just pretended Granite wasn't there. Roamer just stayed queit. Ebony the leader of the pack and Snowdrift's mate didn't like Granite, but he respected Snowdrift's wishes and let Granite stay. While the rest of the pack went out to hunt Snowdrift gave Granite hunting lessons. Granite and Climber would play after the lessons were over. Climber, and Snowdrift were the only ones nice to Granite.
