My story...
bold italic underlineIn the beginning, there was nothing.
There was a great void and the void was empty and stretched beyond the limits of the imagination. Night had no meaning, day had no value. There was no time, no seconds to tick by, no hours to count. It existed in one moment, because there were no other moments to know.
It came to pass, in this moment, that the void knew itself and was aware of the lack of time and space and as it was aware time became reality and like the facets of a diamond was fractured. The void saw these facets, saw them at all once and knew what would become of the universe it was now thinking into being, what would happen in the twists and turns of fate. As it saw the beginning, it saw the end- one moment split into many. Galaxies were born, entire universes created. Still, the void knew something was missing, but could not say what because the concept did not yet exist.
It was alone.
Thinking this brought forth new beings from the center of the void, and it looked over them and knew them to be good. Each a part of it, they were beings of pure energy, twisting and dancing among the stars it had created.
“I will make you guardians of my creation. Everything in this dominion is yours to enjoy and to care for.”
As the void realized the goodness of itself and of the things it had created, it realized it did not know anything outside those things. There was nothing but goodness- nothing to experience, nothing to learn. Its new creations could not help with this, they were identical in all ways but the power to create.
