she had the world at her feet, yet she only wanted him. Gabriella has grown up a lady, with nothing but the best placed into her hands. A french lord's child was one of the highest classes anybody could hope to reach for, however the truth behind her birth was marked with taboo. Gabriella was actually an illegitimate child of the king. Taken in by her uncle to raise as his own, Gabriella has gotten treatment better then the princesses at court. She had the world at her feet.

A funny little tale rang out across the country in a frenzy-Gabriella's blood would bring beauty as great as her own. The assassins from over the contient came for this lord's daughter. Every lady wanted to be beautiful, and every man wanted to give his lady the ultimate gift. The king realized his daughter was in danger, and sent in his own protection squad. Gabriella first saw him there, him with his husky accent and his gorgeous grey eyes. She could have had any suitor yet she chose the boy who couldn't even buy a new knife.

everyone has someone, someone they've been waiting for. no matter how stubborn or how guarded that person is, he or she will always be waiting. for that person that could return the colors that evil has stolen from their lives. for gabriella, gale came along right when she was about to give up. she was nothing but a tool for her father, and lately she isn't even a tool anymore. she's just a pretty statue that moves along with all his other decorations. her beauty, grace, and elegance has been put on display. she was wandering the grounds just moments before her meeting with her solider-well guard in this case, in shining armor (technically he had no gold for any sort of armor). her eyes caught onto his black ruffled hair, and his daring black eyes that didn't even have a doubt in them. she was breathless. she could feel every thump in her heart, every rise and fall of his chest, she feels tingles at the tip of her fingers.
she knew that in all the years of her short life, she had been waiting for him. for the boy that grew up in a small town, the boy that used to cry himself to sleep in the training squad, for the boy that wouldn't even hesitate to kill someone that tried to harm her.

when she took her first step towards him, she was uncertain, shy, and above all-in love. it wasn't something she could explain, just the mere presence of him gave her chills. she acted cold, but only to cover up her affections. over the time they spent together, she slowly let him into the details of her life. and the first time she knew that he liked her back was the moment she found a dried up flower she had given to him as a joke. his expressionless face hid everything, but she wouldn't relent. at least until she got to the bottom of this. she was a girl in love.
