"I am the am the dirt gusting up beneath your feet. The shadows taunting your every fleet. I am the wind tantalizing your hair. The breath you breathe: your air."

Lurking in darkness, with a pace suffocating in quietude, step by step the distance diminishes. Not a pebble to roll beneath muscular feet, nor a twig to snap beneath excessive weight. An airy darkness swims through the atmosphere, circling, spinning and braiding like cigarette smoke intensified. It is not the essence of arrogance, which this large demonic fiend portrays with a mephistophelean smile, but the stalk of death- a hunt to be played. Like the environment all around, the predator is pitch black- fur as slick and smooth as the galactic skies, though with out a trace of white, nor any other hue.

Step by step, the prey is 'gaining in'. Back facing him, whilst head sways side to side. Ferreting, navigating. Oblivious. Oh so delicious! the creature's long violet tongue slips out past arching lips, gliding against vicious fangs and lapping up around the edges of his mouth, tasting the air before withdrawing the exaggerated muscle. Just a few more steps, just a few more paces, just a few more seconds and that human will be his!

The beast lied in place, his haunches sharp along his muscular body- stopping when the human did. The human turned around on the balls of his feet, only to come face to face with two luminous orbs. Glowing pearls peering out from the darkness.

A sharp breath was taken, but it was also stolen. The night was filled with screams and cries, until those diminished into moans and groans, and finally... Silence in the air was once again the gold of the night. A lonesome treasure to this fiendish delight...
