Sometimes it would find things just for itself, and gobble it up, or take it home.
Other times it found things it knew it wouldn't need, but it collected them up any how just in case it'd be of some use.
One day the little Dearling was wandering and found a creature shivering and huddled up to a bush.
It realized it was cold, as winter was coming about.
So the little Dearling nudged the creature's side and brought it to their home, dragging out a scarf it had found, it made sure the other little creature, wouldn't go without.
Although they were each a little different, the Dearling knew something many forget.
That together they were stronger if they were generous and worked things out.
It taught the little creature the same idea, and soon enough, they had found many creatures to share in all the things they found.
The Forest flourished with everyone working together, no one went without.
If a creature found sadness, the others all shared their love, happiness, and support.
If a creature found they had an abundance, they shared with those around them.
That's what The Dearlings were about.
So Do be a Dearling,
And do your part,
Were better together,
So we don't fall apart.
If I take care,
And look out for those I see,
When I struggle,
Someone will be there for me.
If you are hurt, or feel alone,
You can call on me,
You wont be on your own.
