Once upon a time, Heru was a spoiled heir well aware of what his status as a reincarnated God granted him. But things have changed since those days - he's humbled and become more in tune with the will of his inner God. This will is what caused him to abandon his high-ranking position and pursue the life of a Paladin. He is driven, focused, and will do whatever is within his power to make sure justice is done.

But beneath this is a kind-hearted spirit, always willing to offer redemption and forgiveness to those who've done wicked deeds but are not wicked at heart. His duties as a Paladin may come first, but even he isn't so narrow-minded as to refuse someone a request for help just because they've done thing they aren't proud of. And in a way, those are the quests he'll work hardest at. He's done things in his past that he's certainly ashamed of, but he's faced these wrongs and atoned for them.

While Heru doesn't run with a pack, he is not without his close bonds. The most notable of these is his bond with his illegitimate daughter, Tabanya. He was unaware of her existence until recently, and has done everything he could to atone for not being there for her. Should she ever need his help, he would come running. The two of them remain close, despite the distance in culture - Tabanya has always preferred a more Oriental influence in her life.
