The young Forest Spirit steps quietly through the dying Forest. Her soft brown fur had begun to change to a horrible yellow shade and her eyes gleamed with a pure hatred towards the humans. They were the ones who killed the Forest. She listens as each tree falls, the sound echoing painfully in her ears. She quickly made a plan, a scheme that would wipe out all of the nearby villages.

The sky was black, lit only by a little slice of silver moonlight. I made my way out to the edge of the Forest and looked over the ravine at the village. They were the ones who killed my trees and hunted the animals. Before I began to head towards the village, I looked back. Fallen trees littered what used to be the edge of the richest Forest in the land; the remains of them were scattered in brown leaves and chips of dry wood. Snarling under my breath, I leaped over the edge of the ravine towards the village. My hatred of them had changed me. I was not the once-beautiful Forest Spirit, but now my fur is yellowed and a demon is emerging within me. The only cure is to destroy them all. That will heal both the Forest and me.
