"The Infection" started out as what was thought to be a cold. A cough, bloodshot eyes, sore throat. Then came coughing up blood, lesions and sores, hazy memories. Then came the mutations. One strain, two strains, four strains, eight strains...Everywhere one looked new mutations were cropping up. The Infection was spreading, and there was no cure.

Hysteria turned into a grudging acceptance. Warning about travelling to Infected areas, quarantines that did nothing to solve any problems. The breakdown of societies and rampant paranoia. But The Infection wasn't complete, not yet.
